John M. Pierce

John Mark Pierce, age 72, of Middleboro, MA passed away on February 24, 2025, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA after a brave battle with cancer.

He was one of ten children born to the late Irving and Alice (Caldwell) Pierce.

John is survived by his daughter Karla (Pierce) Souza and her husband Steven Souza of Taunton; grandchildren Brianna Pierce, Jaden Souza; Saige Souza; Evan Souza. Brianna Souza; Brendan Souza; great grandchild Aubrey Murphy; His former wife Rose Thetonia; Along with his extended family and friends.

John loved living in his old farmhouse in Middleboro for the last thirty years with his dog Kylie and his cats. John loved working on cars from a young age and could fix anything. You could always find him outside on his John Deere tractor with an iced coffee, a pack of cigarettes in his pocket and his scratch tickets. He was a free spirit: enjoying the simple things life had to offer and would give anyone his last dollar if they needed it. Being in his presence meant you were sure to have uncontrollable laughter. Despite years of failing health John never complained about his sickness or pain but faced every day with a positive outlook on life and lived it to the fullest. 

John loved his daughter and grandchildren, they were the light in his life. 

As his family is grieving his loss, they are overwhelmed with flooding memories and stories filled with love and laughter. 

The family will be having a private celebration of his life.
