John "David" Boulter

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John "David" Boulter, a lifelong resident of Taunton, Massachusetts, whose life was marked by devotion to his family, service to his country, and a remarkable ability to bring laughter and joy to those around him.

Born in Taunton on May 6, 1944, John was the son of the late Alfred Boulter and Mary (Moura) Boulter. A proud graduate of Taunton High School, John spent much of his working life employed in the aircraft parts manufacturing industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Sergeant. His military service was a source of great pride throughout his life, and he carried the values of duty, honor, and loyalty with him long after his time in uniform.

Above all else, John cherished time spent with his beloved wife, Anita (Schmidt) Boulter. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. John was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, sharing stories, playing cards, enjoying a cold beer, and reminiscing about the good old days. He possessed a unique sense of humor that could brighten any room and leave a lasting smile on the faces of those fortunate enough to know him.

John was the father of Jeannie Robertson, Kimberly Correia and her wife Lori, John Boulter Jr., and David Boulter and his wife Elizabeth. He was a proud grandfather to John Boulter III, Brayden Boulter, and Ezequiel Correia, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.

He was the loving brother of Lillian Rickettes and Dorothy Smith. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his siblings; Nelson A. Boulter, Carol Marshall, Beverly Hayden, Judy Burgo, Michael Pinto, and Adrian Pinto.

John's legacy lives on through the family and friends who loved him dearly. He will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his loyalty to friends, his military service, his quick wit, and the countless memories he created throughout a life well lived.

Though he may no longer be with us in person, his stories, laughter, and love will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 11:00am in the Mayflower Hill Cemetery, 235 Broadway, Taunton, MA 02780.
