Joseph P. Mendoza Jr.

Joseph P. Mendoza Jr., age 94, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Brockton. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene (Coelho) Mendoza.

Born on July 25, 1929, in Taunton to the late Joseph and Mary (Coute) Mendoza. Joe was a lifelong resident of Taunton and proudly served his country, joining the United States Army and serving during the Korean War in 1951.

Survived by his daughter Linda Lavender, son Michael Mendoza and granddaughter Melissa Mendoza, along with several nieces and nephews. Joe was also the brother of the late Dorothy Ferreira and grandfather to the late Julie Mendoza.

A Graveside Service will be held at Cedar Knoll Cemetery, 175 Staples St. East Taunton, MA where Joe will be laid to rest with his loving wife Irene on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 12:00pm. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
