Joseph M. Toomey

Joseph Michael Toomey, 66, of Raynham passed away on December 31, 2021 at home surrounded by family after a two month battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on May 19, 1955 the son of Richard and Mary (Sugrue) Toomey. He will be missed by all for his humor and kind nature.

Joseph grew up in Stoughton,MA and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. Following high school, he served in the army as a military police officer making lifelong friendships. Joseph worked for many years at Hoboken Floors in many roles, lastly as a manager. After leaving there, he worked in transportation until his retirement several years ago.

Joseph was married to the love of his life, Sharon A. (Niland) Toomey and they celebrated 37 years of marriage in February. 

In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his daughter Meaghan Toomey of Taunton and sons Patrick Toomey of Taunton and Brendan Toomey and his wife Deloris (Lucas) of Lowell. Joseph was the adoring grandfather of Abby and Jack Toomey. Joseph is also survived by a large extended family of sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his brother Richard Toomey.
