Lauren E. Coughlin passed away suddenly on November 4, 2025. Her light, laughter, and boundless compassion touched everyone she encountered in her 41 years, and her memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.
Lauren’s empathy and gentle heart made her a natural caretaker of living things around her, animals and people alike. She dedicated her life to enriching the lives of animals—both through her work and in her everyday acts of kindness.
Lauren’s passions reflected her vibrant and multifaceted spirit. She was a devoted New England Patriots fan and a proud Tom Brady aficionado. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing, was an avid reader, and always had an expert recommendation for the best reality television show.
A proud graduate of Coyle & Cassidy High School in Taunton, MA, Lauren went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fitchburg State College, and a master’s degree in social work from Boston College. Her studies were a reflection of her true calling: to understand, uplift, and connect deeply with others.
Lauren is lovingly survived by her parents, Richard and Andrea Coughlin; fiancé, Steve Mros; as well as her sister, Alexandra Coughlin, and brother-in-law, Patrick Barry. She is also mourned deeply by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will carry her memory forward with deep affection.
Lauren had a big, beautiful heart, and her family takes great comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched.
A wake honoring Lauren’s life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 5:00PM–8:00PM at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Taunton, MA. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 10:00AM at St. Ann Church, 675 N. Main St., Raynham, MA.
Lauren’s family invites all who loved her to join them in honoring her extraordinary life— one defined by love, laughter, and the type of kindness that leaves a lasting imprint on the world.
