Louisa A. (Testa) Hebert, age 89 of North Dighton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert R. Hebert. Born in Quincy, Massachusetts on June 19, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ersilia (Mancinelli) Testa and Dominic Testa. She was raised and educated in Quincy.
Louisa was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of Saint Nicholas of Myra Parish in North Dighton, Massachusetts. Louisa always had a passion for cooking. She would often oversee the luncheons at the church, including the bingo nights which she truly enjoyed. Louisa worked for Cravens Catering for many years, as well as having the position of Head Captain for the Banquets at the Holiday Inn, in Taunton. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the cafeteria at Bristol Aggie.
She deeply cherished spending time with her family and treasured memories of traveling around the world with her sister Mary, as well as visiting Martha’s Vineyard with her late husband Robert. Louisa enjoyed spending her summers by the pool, reading, and baking, especially her famous Christmas cookies.
Her life was marked by love and dedication to her family and faith. Louisa will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her.
Louisa is survived by her five children, Marie St. Pierre and her late husband John, Michael Hebert and his wife Melody, Trish Hebert, Virginia Durand and Bill Hebert and his wife Jennifer. She was the sister of Mary Testa and grandmother of Kendra Hebert, Samantha Durand and Aurora and Jack Hebert.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 4:00pm-7:00pm in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Taunton, MA 02780. A Funeral Mass will follow on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 10:00am in St. Nicholas of Myra Parish, 499 Spring Street North Dighton, MA 02764. Burial will take place at St. Francis New Cemetery, 48 North Walker St. Taunton, MA 02780. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
