Manuel P. Medeiros was born on April 28,1960, in Faial Da Terra, Sao Miguel Azores. He passed away unexpectedly on February 04, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late Antonio I. Medeiros and Maria I. Medeiros.
Manuel immigrated to this country in 1966. As a young boy he loved sports and enjoyed playing baseball and ice-skating with his younger brother Frank. Manuel completed his educational studies here in Taunton and was a member of the graduating class of 1979 Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School. He went on to become a skilled carpenter and was employed in various mill work carpentry companies throughout his life. He was also a jack-of-all trades kind of person and enjoyed doing home repair projects.
He was also a remarkably talented musician, possessing both skill and dedication in his craft. His passion for music was evident in the joy he found playing his bass guitar. For many years, he was a member of the religious band "Fogo Vivo," performing alongside his brother, Deacon Joe, as both the ensemble's bass guitarist and sound technician. He also played music with various band-members and friends throughout his musical vocation in devotion to God for many years at the Saint Anthony's Church and Portuguese Prayer Group.
Manuel also enjoyed fishing, bird watching and feeding the birds. He loved animals and enjoyed gardening, he was very knowledgeable and smart about various topics and enjoyed having long and deep conversations with his loved ones and with his God-Child Jessica. Manuel had a kind and gentle heart and he was always there to help out those in need. He was a loving son, father, brother and uncle and friend.
Survived by his loving son Nathan Medeiros and his God-Child Jessica Medeiros Bairos and his ex-wife Angela DeGrazia. Loving brother and brother-in-law to Gilda Mendes and her husband Valdemar, Deacon Joseph Medeiros and his wife Eduarda, Tony Medeiros, Frank Medeiros, loving uncle to Amy Medeiros-Motroni and the late Ana-Paula Medeiros great uncle to Ava Motroni and Giana Isabella Medeiros.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours for Manuel on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 9:00AM-10:30AM, at Riendeau- Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street Taunton, MA, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Anthony's Church, 126 School Street, Taunton, MA, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, 475 E. Britannia St., in Taunton, MA.
