Marie G. (Desforges) Etienne

Marie G. Etienne, age 74, passed away on March 9, 2024 at Morton Hospital. She was the loving wife of Kenol Etienne.  She was born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti on November 10, 1949 to the late Dieudonne Desforges and Max Antoine.

Marie enjoyed cooking, cleaning and shopping. She loved hosting family gatherings, dancing and most of all looking after her family,

In addition to her husband Kenol, Marie leaves behind her three children, Jerry Etienne, Farah Edleine Vilus and Mackensy Vilus. She was the sister of Frantz Antoine, Frantz Dorvil and wife, Jean Codio and wife, Alix Georges, Lelene Antoine, Kekette Antoine, Florcie Antoine, and the late Roseanne Martin. Marie was the cherished grandmother of Wesley Delvar and Annemarly Vilus.  She also leaves other extended family members: Rose Marline Martin, Jennifer Codio, Rose Carline Vilus, Gems Dorvil, Marlie Vilus, the Joseph family, Princivil family, Lopez family, Gomez family, Devalus family, Delvar family, Magloire family, Vilus family, Jean family, Thelusma family, Leandre family and close friends Sandra and Andy Jean, Yonel, Mecca & Merica Guillaume and Irene Jean.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 from 9:00am to 10:30am at the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, MA, a Funeral Mass will follow at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton St. Taunton, MA at 11:00am, following with a burial at Mayflower Hill Cemetery, 235 Broadway, Taunton, MA. A Repast will take place following the burial at Holy Ghost Society Inc., 545 Middleboro Avenue, East Taunton, MA from 1:00-5:00pm. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
