Mrs. Marion P. (O’Flaherty) Cloutier, age 87, of Taunton, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Cloutier. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on November 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Mildred T. (Morrisey) and Thomas G. O’Flaherty. Marion was raised and educated in Dorchester, and in 1968 she relocated to Taunton, where she continued to reside for many years. Prior to her retirement, Marion was employed for several years in quality control at Texas Instruments.
Marion had a deep passion for music and was often seen dancing to doo-wop and country tunes. She was a devoted animal lover, especially cherishing her dogs Gizmo, Daisy, and Tini. Above all, Marion treasured time spent with her family and many close friends. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful annual neighborhood block parties, which featured delicious food, live music, and lively dancing.
Marion is survived by her three sons, Walter C. Bevis Jr. and his long-time significant other Bonnie Weichel of Raynham, James F. Bevis and his wife Reneé of Lakeville, and Robert J. Cloutier and his wife Nancy of Dighton. She also leaves behind her niece/daughter Donna Skelly, along with several other nieces and nephews. Marion was a loving grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother to many and a cherished dog-mom to Tini. She was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas G. O’Flaherty, Robert O’Flaherty, John F. O’Flaherty and Mildred T. Lincoln, along with her loving dogs Gizmo and Daisy.
