Maureen F. (McCarthy) Croteau, of Taunton, formerly of Holbrook, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends. Maureen was the wife of Joseph Croteau.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 4, 1967, Maureen was the cherished daughter of the late Richard and Joan (Corkum) McCarthy. Raised and educated in Holbrook, she later made her home in Taunton, where she has been a longtime resident since.
Before her retirement, Maureen was employed in customer service at Johnson & Johnson, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and warm personality.
Maureen was the loving sister of Patricia Mackie, Cathy Smith and her husband Dan, James McCarthy and his wife, Carrie Keating and Richard McCarthy, Jr. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Mary Ferguson, and by her brother, John McCarthy.
She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Maureen found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially the time she spent with those she loved. Her generous spirit, caring heart, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always and deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Maureen's life at visiting hours to be held at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, MA on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 1:00-3:00pm
