Melvin Alan Goloboy of Raynham, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth for 46 years. Born May 25, 1939, he was the son of Rosalind and Harry Goloboy.
Melvin was raised in Boston and attended Boston schools. He received a BS from Boston State College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, who spent many years as a successful restaurateur, where he was known for his friendliness, quick wit, and dry humor. He was the past owner of Flanagan’s Pub in Hyde Park for 11 years, Daybreak Restaurant in West Bridgewater for 3 years, and Mel’s Diner in Raynham for 27 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Benjamin (Sonia), daughter, Megan (Garret), and his much loved grandchildren, Gavin, Dylan, and Callan. Also, his sisters Bernice and Sandra (William), brothers-in-law, Tom (Terri), Jim (Lisa), and Joe, sister-in-law, Kathy (Russell), and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are private at the request of the deceased. Interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be held at a later date.
