Mr. Melvin E. McLaughlin, age 74 of Norton, passed away on Monday May 4th, 2020 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. Melvin was born in Attleboro MA on April 8, 1946 to the late Phyllis (Ball) and John C. McLaughlin.
He was the cherished brother of Donald J. McLaughlin Sr., of Ct, Cheryl Ann Schmiz and husband Raymond, of North Attleboro and the late Vincent J. McLaughlin Sr. He was also survived by cousins, great cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Melvin loved food and would always enjoy going out for coffee and a snack. His indomitable spirit encouraged his family and friends to persist in the face of many struggles. He was a quiet little soul and lived every day with a smile that would light up the world. He was thankful for everyone in his life and grateful for what he had. Melvin made the best out of every challenge thrown his way. His family would especially like to express their sincere gratitude to all the friends and caretakers who truly touched Melvins life and helped him through lifes journey. Those we love dont go away; they walk beside us every day; Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear. May he fly with angels now.
