Nancy S. (Hartwell) Correiro, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late John D. Correiro Sr..
Born in Taunton, MA on April 6, 1939, to the late Lillian (Brindle) and Harold Hartwell. Nancy was a remarkable woman whose warmth, creativity, and love for life touched everyone around her. She was known for her passion for crocheting, and over the years, she lovingly crafted countless blankets that brought comfort and joy to friends and family alike. Each stitch was made with care, each a symbol of her generosity and nurturing spirit.
She was a spirited soul who found joy in simple pleasures. Bingo nights were her favorite, filled with laughter and excitement as she played alongside friends, always hoping for that winning card. Her love for scratch tickets brought a sense of fun and anticipation to her days, and she delighted in sharing stories of her lucky wins—big or small.
Shopping adventures were another highlight of her vibrant life. Nancy enjoyed getting out of the house, exploring stores, and discovering new treasures. Whether she was searching for the perfect gift or just treating herself, these outings kept her active and engaged, reflecting her zest for staying busy and connected to the world around her.
Survived by her son, Jeffrey Correiro and longtime girlfriend Noreen Higgins, her adored grandchildren; Nicole Correiro, Jennifer Pruett and Amanda Correiro, her cherished great-grandchildren; Alice, Ben, Noah and Caleb, and her brother Dennis Hartwell, along with many nieces and nephews. Nancy was also predeceased by her siblings; Jean Reed, Donald Hartwell, Dana Hartwell, Joyce Hartwell, Linda St. Martin, Faith Clarkson and Debra A. Medeiros.
