Ovidia Sagastume

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ovidia R. Sagastume, age 91 who passed away on June 29, 2020. She was loving the wife of the late Cesar Agusto Monroy. Ovidia was born on June 22, 1929 to the late Celia Sagastume.

Ovidia will forever be remembered by her children, Aida Irizarry and Cesar Monroy; her five beloved grandchildren, Nydia Irizarry, Damaris Irizarry, Josue Fernandez, Daniel Fernandez and Jacob Perez. She will be missed by any and all the lives she touched.

Ovidia had a passion for cooking and loved to feed everyone. In her spare time, you could find her doing arts and crafts. Church was a big part of Ovidias life. She was a woman of faith and loved God. She was always reading her bible and praying. She was a parishioner of Iglesia de Cristo Misionera Church. Ovidias greatest pleasure was her time spent with her family. She gave them advice and cracked jokes from time to time. Ovidia wanted nothing but the best for her family and will be truly missed.

A funeral service will take place at the Riendeau Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton MA 02780 on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 10:00 AM followed by a burial at Mayflower Hill Cemetery,235 Broadway St., Taunton. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.r-mfh.com.
