Patricia Wilson Obituary

Patricia Joanne (Rivard) Wilson of Raynham, Massachusetts left this world peacefully on March 6, 2023 (age 73) at home surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born in Taunton Massachusetts on March 19,1949 to the late Charles and Dolores (Wilson) Rivard. Patricia graduated from Bishop Cassidy High School in 1968. She continued her education at Fisher Junior College where she received a Business Secretarial Certification. Patricia was a medical office manager for well over 20 years. Her most memorable and enjoyable years of work were in Chatham, Massachusetts where she worked nine years for the late Jean-Paul Aucoin M.D. Then an additional seven years for Vladimiro Giua M.D. She was the epitome of professionalism. Her pleasant, compassionate and caring demeanor put patients at ease. With that she built many lasting and meaningful friendships. Patricia was a caring woman who spent most of her life thinking about others. She put everyone else and their needs before her own.

While Patricia endured many years of sickness she was always determined to fight. Through her we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. She always stayed strong.

Patricia is survived by her loving and devoted husband of fifty years John R. Wilson. Patricia was a proud mother of three children. She was predeceased by her son Bryan Alan Thompson (October 4, 2000) and survived by her two daughters Tammy L. Shine of Orangeburg, New York and Pattie Fanning of Raynham, Massachusetts and their spouses Lisa Thompson, Peter Shine and Edward Fanning.

Patricia was the beloved grandmother of Bryan J. Thompson of Taunton, Massachusetts. Peter, Matthew, and Nathan Shine of Orangeburg, New York and Evan and Aubree Fanning of Raynham, Massachusetts. She was the sister of Joanne Hart, Dolly Lemelin, Norman Rivard, Donna Brown, Daniel Rivard and predeceased by her brother Charles L. Rivard (Larry). She also leaves behind several cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Patricia loved spending time with her family. This is where she felt the most joy. She devoted her time lovingly and always tried her best.  Patricia will be missed by so many people, as she touched the hearts of all she met.
