Paul A. Eno, a retired Highway Engineer with the Federal Highway Administration and a retired Transportation Planner with Fairfax County Virginia passed away on July 27th 2022. Mr. Eno, a resident of Mansfield, Ma and formerly Taunton, Ma was born in Lowell Ma on November 6, 1932. He received a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston Ma. He served in the US Navy with the Seabees in Puerto Rico and then began his career with the Bureau of Public Roads in 1958 in Augusta, Maine. He transferred to Providence RI in 1962 where he served as an Area Engineer and Safety Programs Engineer. While in Rhode Island, he oversaw major highway projects in the greater Providence area. In 1987, he transferred to the Washington Headquarters as a Highway Engineer in the Office of Highway Safety. Mr. Eno retired from the Federal Highway Administration in 1988 and continued his career as a Transportation Planner in Fairfax County, Virginia, Office of Transportation. He retired in 1998 as Chief of the Project Planning Section. Mr. Eno received the Distinguished Public Service Professional Award from the Springfield, Virginia District Council in 1992 and the Transportation Achievement Award in 1993 from the Fairfax County Transportation Advisory Commission.
Mr. Eno is survived by a wonderful family, his wife Janice who he married on November 22, 1958 and four children: Richard Eno and wife Courtney from Winchester Ma. Patricia Tetreault and husband Paul Tetreault from Norton Ma. James Eno and wife Leah from Austin, Texas and Robert Eno and wife Monica from Saratoga California, eight grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's memory to: Perkins School of the Blind, Blind Perkins Trust Office 175 North Beacon Street Watertown MA 02472.
