Pauline A. Banks, of Taunton, passed away on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, at Morton Hospital following a period of declining health. She was born in Taunton on June 6th, 1944, the daughter of the late Laurent Marcoux of Quebec, Canada, and Loretta (Gaouette) Marcoux of Taunton. Pauline was the devoted wife of Gerald D. Banks, with whom she shared an extraordinary 49 years of marriage. Educated in Taunton, she was a lifelong resident of the city.
She is survived by her loving husband Gerald D. Banks, of Taunton, her son Gerald M. Banks, and his wife Jessica Banks of Sturbridge, MA. She was also the cherished mother of Catherine A. Banks, who predeceased her. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother to her beloved granddaughters Kaylee and Alexis Banks, whom she adored beyond measure.
For 44 years, Pauline worked with dedication and pride at Reed and Barton in Taunton, where she formed lasting friendships and was admired for her strong work ethic. Known for her loving and selfless nature, she had an unwavering habit of putting others before herself. A lifelong and avid Boston Red Sox fan, she enjoyed spending her summers watching games and cheering on her favorite team. Pauline will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton Ma 02780. A Memorial Service will follow in the Funeral Home at 5:30pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will take place on a later date.
