Pete M. Rose

It is with great sadness that the family of Pete M. Rose announce his passing on October 5th 2021 at the age of 41. Pete was the husband of Colleen A. Rose (Custodio). He was born in Stoughton on August 19th 1980 to his parents, Donna L. (Shaw) and Michael C. Rose.  Pete was raised and educated in Taunton and was always known as a hard worker.  He was a very compassionate, dedicated and skilled concrete finisher. Pete worked as a concrete finisher in the OPCMIA, Local 40 Union out of Rhode Island for 5 years.  He was employed by Marguerite Concrete Inc. in Hopedale MA.

Pete was a wonderful son, husband and father.  He loved to tinker with things and was dubbed "Mr. Fix It". Pete enjoyed playing golf with family and friends, fishing with his son and was a  big Bruins Fan.  He was quite knowledgeable about history. Pete was a hard worker; he would give the shirt off his back to someone in need.  He had a great sense of humor and would always be quoting his favorite movies.

In addition to his wife Colleen and his parents Michael and Donna Rose, Pete leaves behind his two beautiful children: Deacon and Raelyn Rose.  He will be greatly missed by his brothers: Douglas Rose and his wife Erica and their son Asher Rose of Rochester MA; & Adam Rose and his wife Sahar of Southborough, MA.  Pete will also forever be remembered by his Maternal Grandmother: Louise Shaw of Easton; his Paternal Grandfather: Ashel Rose of Taunton and his two best friends since childhood: Matthew Borba of Norton and Kevin Sousa of Taunton.  He also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and his sister-in-law, Shannon Custodio.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 14th from 4-7 P.M in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville MA.  A Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home the next day, Friday, October 15th at 10:00 A.M.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.  There will be no burial following the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any expressions of sympathy in the form of contributions be made towards Pete's children’s future education.  A future education fund has been set up for Pete's children and the checks are to be made payable to “Colleen Rose”, and sent c/o Lynda Richards, P.O Box 512, Wrentham, MA 02093.  For Zelle electronic transfers/contributions, please send via email address DeaconRaelynEDU@gmail.com.
