We celebrate the life of Peter Michael Farley, or as he was affectionately known, "Pete." This compassionate and courageous soul was raised in Middleboro, and resided in Raynham where he grew to be a beacon of light within the community.
Peter was more than just a beloved family man; he was a community pillar, a genuine hype man, and the best locker room DJ you'd ever meet. He was a man of many talents and passions. From his early days as a spirited fourth-grade teacher at Hancock Elementary School in Brockton, Massachusetts, to his time serving selflessly in the US Army Reserves in the 344th military police company, and later as an esteemed employee of Veterans' Affairs in Providence, RI, Peter navigated life with courage and empathy. His deployment to Baghdad, Iraq with the 340th was a testament to his bravery, while his charity work with various refugee assistance programs displayed his inherent kindness.
Peter's love for sports was unparalleled. He was a dedicated coach for Raynham Youth Baseball and an enthusiastic super fan of his sons' youth hockey teams. Peter's love for his family was a force that knew no bounds. He was funny, full of life, and his infectious energy could fill a room. He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Farley; his sons, Owen and Calvin; his parents, Glen and Kathleen Farley; his brother, Craig Farley and sister-in-law, Jessica; and his nephews, Nolan and Beckett. He is also survived by his in-laws, Joe and Pam Correia, brother-in-law, Ken Correia, and his beloved pugs, Roxy and Rita.
His life was a testament to the power of love, courage, and the sheer joy of living. Peter Farley was not just a man; he was an experience. Let us remember Peter Farley for the joy he brought into our lives, the stories he told, and the laughter he shared. His legacy will live on through his “Pete-isms” on and off the sports field. No one is better than you, Pete Farley.
We invite family and friends to join us in a celebration of Pete’s life at Lorenzo’s Italian Restaurant and Bar, located at 500 W. Grove Street, Middleboro, MA, at noon on Wednesday, September 23rd.
