Randy T. Greene, 62, passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Robert and Theresa (Howarth) Greene and spent the last two decades calling East Providence home.
Known by many names — Dad, Uncle Randy, and Papa — Randy lived life with an open heart and a fearless spirit. He was the beloved husband of the late Debra (Olson) Poore, a proud father to Madeline Marlow and Helen Valley, and an even prouder Papa to his six grandchildren: Jacob, Matthew, Jordan, Jackson, Lily, and Chase. He also leaves behind his siblings Cheryl Cady, Robert Greene, Robin Marcello, Deborah Braley, William Greene, and John Barr; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends he considered family. He was the brother of the late Barry, Daniel, Richard, Mark, Jimmy, and Kathleen Greene, and Walter Barr.
Randy was a master carpenter with a true gift for his craft — every project he touched carried his attention to detail, pride, and skill. But his true legacy wasn’t just in the homes he helped build — it was in the people he helped shape. Randy spent his life lifting others up — teaching his trade, lending a hand, opening his door, and never turning away anyone who needed a second chance or a little extra love.
A true original, Randy marched to the beat of his own drum. He loved rock and roll, lived life on his own terms, and celebrated the beauty of being different. His laughter, his kindness, his humility, and his untamed spirit touched more lives than he probably ever realized. Randy was also a fierce animal lover, and he is surely surrounded now by his beloved pets in paradise.
A Celebration of Life will be held in May.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Randy’s memory may be made to the Pawtucket Animal Shelter, 401 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI, 02860 or at https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=DS3SBDMFGFBXS
