Richard L. Rose

Richard L. Rose, Age 93, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026, at All American Assisted Living in Raynham.

Born in Taunton, Richard was the son of the late Lucian Rose and Loretta (Daigle) Rose. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline J. (Gamache) Rose.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War Era.

Prior to his retirement, Richard worked for many years as a machine designer for Texas Instruments. He also worked for Mt. Hope Finishing Company in Dighton.

Richard enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and especially loved spending time outdoors. He was an avid saltwater fisherman and enjoyed making his own fishing poles and operating “Surf Stick” Tackle. His love of fishing was a pastime that brought him great enjoyment throughout his life.

Richard is survived by his children, Michael Rose and his wife Joyce of Arizona, Richard Rose and his wife Denise of New Hampshire, and Susan Cox and her husband Sherman of Easton. He was the cherished grandfather of five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Richard was the brother of the late Robert Rose.

Richard was also a parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.

A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 11:15am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
