Mr. Richard A. “Dick” Dusseault, of Berkley, died Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Jean M. (Tinkham) Dusseault for 58 years.
He was born 81 years ago on April 6, 1940 in Taunton, the son of the late Rodolphe and Lydia (Courcy) Dusseault. He was educated in Taunton Catholic Schools and graduated from Coyle High School in 1958. He attended Bridgewater State College at night while working for his father’s asphalt company, R. Dusseault and Son. He also attended Bentley College. He was an assistant vice president at Sentry Bank of Hyannis and managed Taunton, Seekonk, Attleboro and North Attleboro branches. After retiring from the bank, he worked for many years at Old Scotland Links Golf course in Bridgewater.
Dick was a devoted family man and skilled carpenter, who loved gardening, landscaping and especially golfing. His favorite memories include the Parker Couples golf league, traveling with his wife and friends, and most importantly spending time with his family. Dick will always be remembered for his quick wit and his ability to make people laugh.
In addition to his loving wife, he leaves his son, Mark Dusseault and wife, Carmen, their sons, Richard and Reed; his daughter Sally Ventura and her husband, Bill and their daughters; Sara and husband Sam and their son Malcolm and Laura and her husband, Greg; his daughter Betsy Terrien and her husband, Brian and their children Hannah, Abby, Brandon and Connor; his daughter Jennifer MacPhail and her husband Jesse and their sons; Liam and Jack.
He is also survived by his sister, Jeanne and her husband, Bob Chase. He is predeceased by his siblings, Alice, Louise, Roland and Colette.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Annunciation of the Lord Parish, 31 First Street, Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, June 21st at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
