Rita Ann Fuller, 62, of Taunton, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2026. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on June 21, 1964, in Taunton, Rita was the daughter of late James and Vondalee Leonard. She was raised in Taunton and graduated from Taunton High School. Rita dedicated more than 30 years of her career to Morton Hospital, where she worked as a Facilities Administrative Professional and was respected by colleagues for her dedication and hard work. Outside of work, Rita cherished time spent with friends and loved ones. She enjoyed sharing laughter, conversation, and creating lasting memories over good food and drinks. Whether gathering with family or spending time with friends, Rita had a remarkable gift for bringing people together and making every occasion more enjoyable. Affectionately known as “Crazy Rita,” she will be remembered for her larger-than-life personality, infectious energy, quick wit, creative spirit, and playful sense of humor. Her ability to make people laugh, feel welcome, and enjoy the moment left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Shelby Fry and her husband, Jonathan Fry Jr. granddaughter Jade Fry; her son, William Fuller; her sisters, Patricia Stiles and her husband, Lenny Stiles, Pamela Greene, and Susan Almeida and her husband, Dwayne Almeida; her brother, Michael Leonard; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was predeceased by David Greene and Carol Leonard.
A Celebration of Rita’s Life will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Frank’s Good Times, 381 Winthrop Street, Taunton, MA 02780. Light refreshments will be served. In keeping with Rita’s wishes and spirit, no formal services will be held.
Though Rita is no longer with us, the love, laughter, and countless memories she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her vibrant spirit and joyful presence will never be forgotten.
