Robert J. Bouchard

Robert “Bob” Bouchard passed away peacefully at home in Lakeville on July 3, 2025, with his loving family by his side after a long illness. 

Born in Taunton, the son of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Gilbert) Bouchard, younger brother of the late Jeanne (Bouchard) Silveira and Rita (Bouchard) Dennen; Bob was raised in Taunton, a graduate of St Jacques & Coyle, and very proud two-time graduate of Boston College.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Kathleen “Kathie” Bouchard; his son Jean-Pierre and his wife Audra of Acushnet; his daughters Michelle and her husband Brian of Lakeville and Laura and her husband John and grandchildren Isabelle and Aidan of Fall River, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob spent his career working as an environment consultant, cleaning up and protecting endangered habitats, and preserving them for future generations. In his retirement he was immensely proud to serve his home community of Lakeville as the Conservation Agent & Chair of the Conservation Commission.  When he wasn’t listening to music, cooking, or drinking and telling old college stories with his BC Annex buddies, Bob enjoyed camping and hiking in Franconia Notch and Acadia National Parks, collecting and talking about any and all rocks, and through that he passed his love of the outdoors on to his family.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pm in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, MA 02780. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00am on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton Street, Taunton, MA 02780. A burial will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025, at St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 E. Britannia St, Taunton, MA at 11:00am. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
