Robert Bob G. Brown Sr., of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 63 on May 22, 2020 at Morton Hospital. He was the loving husband of 37 years to Regina (Enos) Brown. Bob was born in Taunton on August 27, 1956 to Barbara (Vieira ) Brown and the late Richard H. Brown.
In addition to his wife Regina and Mother Barbara, Robert will forever be remembered by his four children: Christine (Brown) McCarthy and husband Justin, Robert G. Brown Jr., Dakota J. Brown and fianc Kristin Robbins and Tyler R. Brown. He was also the father of the late Jill Brown. Bob was the brother of: Rick, Frank, Vickey, Michael, Mark, Charles and Ruth Brown, Joann Bishop, Barbara Mckenna, and Alice Cowen. He will be greatly missed by his eight grandchildren: Trevor, Allana, Daniel, Montana, Aria, Avery, Dylan and Kasen Brown and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Bob was always known for being a hard worker. He drove tractor trailers most of his life and had a passion for what he did. When he was not working, he enjoyed the C.B. Club Motor Mouth Modulators every Saturday night. He enjoyed playing with his quarters, camping in New Hampshire and canoeing with his family. Bob had quite the knack for cooking. He loved making chicken wings with his famous hot sauce, having clam boils and most of all,, having Sunday dinners with his family. Papa cherished his time with his grandchildren; he was always giving them knowledge and sound advice. He will always be remembered for his famous words that you would always here him say, Its the government, thats how they get ya. Bob will be deeply missed.
Visiting hours will be held in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Taunton, on Thursday, May 28th from 9:00AM 12:00PM. A graveside service will immediately follow in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, 175 Staples St., East Taunton, MA 02718. Please keep in mind, at this time regulations for Massachusetts have not changed regarding public gatherings. We are still limited to only 10 people in the funeral home at a time. If you plan to attend, we kindly ask for you please be patient when arriving. You will be asked to wait in your vehicles until its you turn to pay your respects. To make sure everyone has a chance to say goodbye, your asked to kindly pay your respects and return to your vehicles immediately after.
