Robert Dumoulin Obituary

Robert (Bob) Alexander Dumoulin passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 after a sudden and brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family, including his three granddaughters who lovingly held pepere's hands each in turn. He was the son of Phillipe and Sophie (LeBlanc) Dumoulin. He was married to the former Janice Levesque.

Bob was retired from the Taunton Post Office. He was a proud three year veteran of the Army and served one tour in Vietnam. He was an active member of the Taunton Rifle and Pistol Club. In addition to his love of fishing he loved his red corvette and his red Harley, as well as riding his fast bicycle (red) around the surrounding towns. He especially enjoyed walking around the city. He was an avid gardener and was proud to impart his knowledge of vegetable lore to anyone who would listen. Bob was an avid motorcyclist who loved riding his Harley with his brother Norm and their good friend George Courcy. For thirty years this trio wandered the countryside in search of the best clam chowder and clam cakes. They looked for car shows, motorcycle charity events. Bob was the past CEO of the world famous but FAKE Dumoulin Brothers Brewery which was a great source of merriment to his friends and relatives. He enjoyed repairing, maintaining and discussing the mechanical wonders of these cars with his friend George and their mutual friend Wayne Martiniak as well as his daughter Nancy's father in law Barney. Bob was a quiet man but when his opinion was called for he could be quite loquacious with is remarks. He will also be remembered for his apple pies. The taste would lay on his family's palates before cut and served. Bob worked at Reed & Barton's, Mason's Oil and the Big Four lumber company.

Bob was pre-deceased by his older brother Philip Jr. He is survived by his sister Theresa Beauvais and her late husband Leo, Mary Jane Jose and her husband Robert, his brother Norman and his wife Suzanne, and his sister Diane Menard and her husband Normand, sister in law, Connie Dumoulin. He also leaves his beloved daughters, Rachael Dumoulin and Nancy Taylor and her husband Jeffery, granddaughters Emily, Catrina and Jamie Bassett and many nephews and nieces. We will always cherish him and keep him forever in our thoughts. God bless you Bob till we meet again. We would also like to thank the kind and compassionate staff of Morton Hospital's ICU.
