Robert Heap III

Mr. Robert Heap III, age 89 of Taunton, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Anita (Ouellette) Heap.

Born in Dighton on August 10, 1935, to the late Alice (Russell) and Robert Heap II. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean era and was an Amtrak Engineer from 1971-2001. Robert was involved with RV Clubs, The Elks, The American Legion and was an usher at La Salette Shrine. Anyone who knew Robert, knew he loved to travel.

Survived by his sons' Brian Heap of Sterling, VA and Kevin Heap of Taunton, MA, three beloved grandchildren Ashley Heap, Sean Heap and Maria Heap and one adorable great-grandchild Izacc Soares. He was also the brother of the late Russell G. Heap.

A gathering will begin at 10:30am on Friday, October 4, 2024, in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, MA 02780, followed by a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home at 11:00am. Burial with Military Honors will immediately follow at Notre Dame Cemetery 1540 Stafford Road, Fall River, MA 02721. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited yo attend.
