Robert Menard Sr.

Robert Menard Sr. of Taunton passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Loving husband to the late Sherrill (Simmons) Menard for 52 years. He was born in Dighton to the late Louise (White) and Raymond Menard on April 26, 1948. Robert was a lifelong resident of Taunton. He was employed by British Petroleum for 34 years and worked his way up to management. He was also a communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Church, N. Dighton, MA.

Robert was very competitive in his younger years, enjoying bowling, softball, horseshoes, pool, bumper pool, and croquet. He also enjoyed watching old westerns, attending jury duty, and sharing clam boils with family and friends. He cherished his time spent with his family.

He is survived his son, Robie Menard, daughter; Lisa (Menard) Costa and husband Bob, sister; Pam and husband Frank Avilla of FL, seven grandchildren; Randy, Kevin, Tanner, Kyle, Ava, Brooks and Baylie, as well as several nieces, and nephews and family friend, Bobby Nunes, who Bob mentored. In addition to Robert’s wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Rick Menard.
