Robert E. Whitmarsh

Robert “Bob” Whitmarsh, age 64, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in Taunton, MA.

Born on November 5,1959 to Marion (Meeker) and Elliot Whitmarsh. Bob was self-employed, he owned and managed Bob’s Bait and Tackle in Taunton. Prior to opening his own store, he was a plant manager at Connoisseur’s Manufacturing for over 15 years. He did commercial fishing, participated in freshwater tournaments and sponsored fishing derbies. Anyone who knew Bob, knew he was an incredibly kind man who was blessed with the gift to gab, and was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved all animals. Bob enjoyed both freshwater and saltwater fishing, driving his Harley Davidson, participating in motorcycle runs, spending time with his grandchildren, hanging out with “Dolly”, singing karaoke on the porch and spending time at Peter’s Pond Park. Bob also loved growing plants in his garden. He was such an amazing dad and an even more amazing grandfather. Bob had reconnected with his high school sweetheart Teresa Eosco and spent the last years of his life happy and head over heels in love. Teresa has a daughter Maria Falcione and granddaughter Sofie Musto (he considered them family).

Survived by his two daughters Sonja Whitmarsh and partner Tony Calouro Jr. and Jennifer Whitmarsh, adored grandchildren Michael Daggett Jr., Faith Matteson, Anthony Daggett, Nathan Matteson, Tatianna Choiniere, Allianna Choiniere and Derrick Whitmarsh and his beloved great-granddaughter Jordyn Daggett. Bob was the former husband of the late Cheryl Whitmarsh.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 7:00pm. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
