Ruth M. (Hoye) Rebello

Mrs. Ruth M. (Hoye) Rebello, age 92 of Taunton, passed away at Regal Care of Taunton on Monday, January 1st, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Herman Rebello, Sr. Ruth was born on August 14, 1931 to the late Julia (Smith) and Raymond Hoye. Ruth was raised and educated in Taunton and was a lifelong city resident.  Ruth was formerly employed at the Red Coach Grille in Middleboro, King and Queen Pizza in Taunton, the Visiting Nurse Association and Wrentham State Hospital.

Ruth loved going to Foxwoods and playing bingo. She enjoyed the sound of music, dancing, cooking and most of all, spending time with family and friends.

She was the loving mother of Michael Rebello and wife Janet, of Taunton, Robert Rebello of Taunton and his former wife Barbara Richmond, of NH, Herman “Buddy” Rebello Jr, and wife Charlene of Taunton, Patricia Ashton and Husband Clifford, of Fall River and the Late Manuel and Christine Rebello, both of Taunton. Ruth also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Eileen Reilly, Jean Stevens, Anne Horgan, Edith Cabral, Leah Medeiros and John Hoye.
