Shirlee E. (Hazard) Almeida-Sears

Shirlee E. (Hazard) Almeida-Sears, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 22, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of George “Buddy” H. Sears for 55 years.

Born in Taunton, MA to the late Christina (Reid) and Roy Hazard. Shirlee attended Berklee School of Dancing and Charm School, she was involved with Louise Crowley Dance Studio since the age of 11. She was active with the Miss Taunton Pageants for over 20 years and was also a member of the Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog for 24 years. Shirlee also worked as the office manager at Angel View Pet Cemetery on West Grove St. in Middleboro for 26 years.

In addition to her loving husband George “Buddy”, Shirlee is survived by sister in-law Lorretta Watson, her niece Crystal (Hazard) Wohlgemuth and husband Roger, nephews Michael Joseph Hazard and William Roy Hazard Jr. and wife Shawn, her God children Justin Joseph Wohlgemuth and Ciara Maris Wohlgemuth. Along with several other nieces and nephews. Shirlee was also the sister of the late William Roy Hazard Sr., aka "Butch".

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, MA from 10:00am-12:00pm, with a Funeral Service to follow in the funeral home at 12:00pm, to be followed by a burial at Assonet Burying Ground, South Main St. Freetown, MA 02702. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
