Steven J. Silva

Steven J. Silva, Age 41 of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday January 17, 2025. He was the loving husband of Andrea M. (Rodrigues) Silva. Steven was born in Taunton on March 2, 1983 to Maria Lourdes (Oliveira) Silva and the late Pedro Augusto Silva.

Steven was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his loved ones. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and was deeply respected by his colleagues and friends. Steven was known for his warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.  

Steven was a graduate of Taunton High School and went on to build a successful career with New England Welding in Avon, where he was known for his exceptional skill and work ethic. He was an active member of his community, often volunteering his time and talents to help those in need. He will especially be remembered for his annual Christmas lights, to which everyone always looked forward to his amazing display. 

 His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the profound impact he had on the lives of those around him.

Steven enjoyed spending quality time with his loved ones. Nothing meant more to him than his family, especially his wife and son, as it showed with the abundance of love that he shared with them. He especially enjoyed going to car shows and going on bike rides with his son Ethan.

In addition to his beloved wife Andrea and his mother Maria, Steven is survived by his cherished son, Ethan, who was the light of his life. He was the brother of George Silva and his wife Cristina of FL and the late Arthur Silva. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews: Andrea DeMello, Arthur Silva Jr., Selena Silva, Jacob Silva, Avarie Silva and Logan Sabino along with extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday January 23, 2025 from 5:00-8:00pm in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton MA. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00am in St. Anthony Church, 126 School St. Taunton MA. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
