Terence “Terry” S. Phalen, age 62, passed away peacefully at his home in Taunton, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Colleen E. (Roy) Phalen. Born in Arlington on July 11, 1962, to Norma (Mackenzie) and William Phalen. Terry was a graduate of North Attleboro High School and attended Bridgewater State University, Suffolk University and UMASS Boston, where he obtained his Doctorate. He was the Project Manager for UMass Boston for 32 years and prior to that was an Administrator for the Franklin Institute. Terry was a Scoutmaster for Troop 79 and helped many Scouts get their Board of Review to obtain their Eagle.
Terry was quite an adventurist. He enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, Motorcycle Touring, Motocross, whitewater rafting, jet skiing, jet boating, parasailing and going on a cruise. Terry was a thoughtful, caring neighbor who helped everyone he could and took pride in keeping the neighborhood clean. He was devoted to his family and extended family and will always be remembered for being the “Best Storyteller Eva”.
In addition to his beautiful wife Colleen, Terry is survived by his cherished children, Brandon Scott Phalen and Rebecca Lynne Phalen. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Terry was also the brother of the late Patrick and Michael Phalen.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, MA from 4:00-7:00pm. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
A Funeral Service will take place the following Friday, November 22, 2024, at 10:00am at the First Congregational Church (The Stone Church), 785 S. Main St., Raynham, MA, followed by a burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 E. Britannia St. Taunton, MA.
