Theresa A. (Alvilhiera) Amaral

Theresa A. (Alvilhiera) Amaral, age 91, passed away peacefully, on Friday, February 6, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late John V. Amaral.

Born in Taunton on August 18, 1934, to the late Anne (Vieira) and John B. Alvilhiera. Raised and educated in her cherished hometown, Theresa devoted many years of her career as a sample maker at Texas Instruments. Her commitment to her work reflected her strong work ethic and attention to detail. Known for her contentment, Theresa found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in reading a good book and enjoyed outings to local restaurants. These moments were cherished opportunities for relaxation and connection. Theresa’s affection extended to her devoted companion, the late Capri, her remarkable bond with her dog was a testament to her caring nature and capacity for love. Above all, Theresa valued her family. She treasured time spent with loved ones, finding her greatest happiness in the company of her family and, especially, her grandchildren.

Survived by her children; Terri Daley of Taunton, Andrea Correia and husband Freddy of Taunton and John Amaral also of Taunton, her sister Anne McGann of Middleborough, beloved sister-in-law Linda Alvilhiera, several adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family. Theresa was also the sister of the late John B. Alvilhiera, James Alvilhiera, Francis Avilhiera, Frank Alvilhiera, Anthony Alvilhiera and Grace Goodwin.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 10:00-11:00am at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Taunton, MA, a Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home at 11:00am, followed by a burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, 475 E. Britannia St., Taunton, MA. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
