Theresa V (Cyr) Courcy

Theresa Viola Courcy passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at her home in Taunton surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 16, 1924 to the late Elzear and Blanche (Guimond) Cyr. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Taunton. Theresa worked as a telephone operator early in her career and later became a homemaker.

Theresa enjoyed knitting, playing cards, reading, watching her bird feeders, tending to her plants and making puzzles. Above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband, the late Roger Courcy. She is survived by her children; Peter & Gail Courcy of Taunton, Clem and Eileen Courcy of Manchester, Suzanne Garnett of Taunton, Robert and Carole Courcy of Warwick RI, Will and Vivian Courcy of East Taunton, thirteen grandchildren; Jennifer Courcy of Jacksonville FL, Trisha Linayao of Stockton, CA, Jeffrey Courcy of Las Vegas NV, Jason Courcy of New Bedford, MA, Catherine Pryor of Minneapolis, MN., Annemarie Lucas of Essex MA, Erryn Bennett of Somerset, MA., Lauren Snow of Raynham MA, Meagan Landi of Warwick RI, Kimberly Courcy of Fairfax, VT., Phillip Courcy of Wrentham MA., Paul Courcy of Raynham, MA., Renee Courcy of Taunton, MA., thirteen great-grandchildren; Clementine, Oliver, Charlotte, Joseph, Noah, Ned, Anthony, William, Jacob, Emmett, Olive, Louise, Mason and many nieces and nephews and other extended family members. Theresa was predeceased by her siblings Jeanette Bilodeau, Robert Cyr, Philippe Cyr and Clement Cyr. 

Visitation will be held Friday, July 15th from 5-7PM at the Riendeau Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton MA 02780. A Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 AM on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton Street, Taunton, MA.
