Therese Y. (Dumoulin) Beauvais

Therese (Dumoulin) Beauvais, age 93, of Taunton passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Marian Manor in Taunton. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo Beauvais Sr. Therese was born in Taunton, Ma on December 9, 1930 to the late Phillipe and Sophie (LeBlanc) Dumoulin. She was a lifelong city resident and was raised and educated in Taunton.

Therese and her husband Leo were the former owners of Beauvais’s Bicycle shop in Taunton for many years. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle Parish for many years. Therese was a former member of the St. Jude the Apostle Women’s Guild and a recipient of the Marian Medal Award. She was also a former sexton at the former (St. Jacques) St. Jude the Apostle Parish.  Therese was a scout leader for many years and enjoyed being involved with the community, donating her time whenever she could.  She enjoyed yardwork and was known for her beautiful flower gardens. She also enjoyed crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

Therese leaves behind her two sons: Leo A. Beauvais Jr. and wife Karen and Raymond Beauvais and wife Cheryl, both of Taunton.  She was the sister of Norman Dumoulin and wife Susan, Mary Jane Jose and husband Robert, Diane Menard and husband Norman, the late Bob Dumoulin and the late Philip Dumoulin and was the sister-in-law of Connie Dumoulin. Therese was the proud grandmother of Michelle Faria and husband Keith, Gary Oliveira and wife Sandy, and Ryan Oliveira and fiancé Jodi Crandell. She also leaves behind several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Therese was also the mother of the late Doreen Oliveira and the grandmother of the late Raymond Beauvais Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home 467 Bay St., Taunton, Ma from 9:00am to 11:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00am in St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton St, Taunton, Ma. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton Ma.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
