Thomas “Tommy” Cusack, beloved husband, father, brother, family member. and friend, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, at the age of 73.
Born on June 22, 1953, Tommy was the son of the late Thomas Cusack and Fran (Williams) Cusack. He graduated from Needham High School and went on to build a dedicated career with the telephone company, where he worked for more than 30 years before retiring.
Tommy was the devoted husband of Theresa “Candy” Cusack, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and memories. He was a proud and loving father to Jennifer Cusack of Berkley, Massachusetts, and Michael Thomas Cusack also of Berkley, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Barbara (Cusack) Diette, as well as many cherished brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
A lifelong Boston Bruins fan, Tommy loved sports, but hockey and NASCAR were his greatest passions. He also loved riding his motorcycle, especially the many memorable times spent at Echo Farm. Tommy took tremendous pride in maintaining a beautiful lawn, and anyone who knew him knew how much joy he found in caring for it.
Tommy never met a stranger. His warm personality, kind heart, and wonderful sense of humor allowed him to make friends wherever he went. He was a gifted storyteller whose tales, laughter, and quick wit brought smiles to family gatherings and conversations alike. His generous spirit and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Tommy’s legacy of kindness, laughter, friendship, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Finally, in true Tom fashion, his family knows he’d insist on including one last laugh: he never lost his appreciation for hockey, motorcycles, NASCAR... or a woman with a generous bust. Thanks for the laughs, Tom.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Tom and Candy’s home, 8 Pine Street, Berkley, Massachusetts. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather to share stories, laughter, and memories as they celebrate a life well lived.
