Vasco Teixeira

Vasco Teixiera, ago 80, of Taunton passed away on Sunday May 4, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Maria Isabel (Pereira) Teixeira. He passed peacefully, after a long courageous battle against Dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Vasco was born in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel Azores, on October 14, 1944, to the late John and Maria Teixeira. He was raised in Ponta Delgada and served in the Portuguese Army. He moved to the Massachusetts area in his twenties and worked as an ironworker and retired after 40 years. He loved to spend time with his family whether it was showing off his dancing skills, telling those memorable jokes, or always knowing more than anyone about American & world history. Precious family vacations where he was the life of the party and brought joy to every person he met. We all will have these lasting memories and never forget these precious memories as they live on in our hearts forever.

Vasco and Maria were married for 53 years and had three wonderful children. Andrea, Michelle, and Jeffrey. He was the best avo to his grandchildren Alexia, Michael, Alexander, Angelica, Vanessa, Ethan, Nathanial and Autumn. He was also the best bisavo to his great grandchildren Grace, Lucas, Delcan, and Rowan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by a funeral service all at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton MA. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
