Viola M. (Willette) Geer

Viola M. Geer, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Life Care Center of Raynham.  She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Geer.

Born in Taunton on July 31, 1928, to the late William and Laura (Cornell) Willette. Viola was a lifelong city resident and had worked for Paul Dever School prior to her retirement in 1991. She was a Eucharist Minister at Marion Manor for several years and devoted parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle Parish. She enjoyed crocheting, word searches and she always carried her catholic faith, wherever she went.

Survived by her daughter Cheryl Cote and husband Douglas, her son Edward Geer and late wife Cheryl, her adored grandchildren Nick Bean, Sean Geer, Shannon Geer-Quiet and Brittany Tessier, along with many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Viola was also the sister of the late William Willette Jr., John Willette, Shirley Pereira and Laura Horta.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St. Taunton, from 5:00-7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton St. Taunton at 10:00am, followed by a burial at St. James Cemetery, 44 Liberty St. East Taunton. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
