Vivian T. (Emond) McCreadie, age 79, passed away on Saturday, June 12th at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Vivian was born in Taunton to the late Oscar and Mildred (Olson) Emond. She was a lifelong resident of Taunton and worked as a Computer Operator for the Bristol County Registry of Deeds.
Vivian is survived by her children; Dean McCreadie and his wife Amber of Barre, Dawn Albert of Taunton and Kimberly Whatley of Easton. Brothers; Kenneth and Dennis Emond, both of Taunton, and Harold Emond, of FL. Vivian was blessed with six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind her longtime companion; Kent Luz of Taunton. Aside from her parents, Vivian was predeceased by her two sisters; Claire J. Goldrick and Rita Arieta & her four brothers; Normand, Richard, Lawrence and David Emond.
Vivian was a loyal Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan. She loved watching their games and cheering them on. She enjoyed listening to music and crocheting. You would often find her visiting Plymouth and her favorite beach, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday June 17th in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home 467 Bay St. Taunton MA from 4-7PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude The Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton St., Taunton on Friday June 18th at 9:30AM Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
