Warren Stewart Obituary

Warren “Stew” Stewart, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 13, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of Rosie Stewart. Warren and Rosie enjoyed traveling all throughout the US. Their dream was to get an RV and travel to each state. Warren was born on February 19, 1965 to Joan (Gunther) Hartwell and the late Robert Stewart. He grew up in Raynham and was a graduate of Bridgewater Raynham High School.  Warren enlisted in the United States Army in 1983 where he served as a Combat Engineer. During his time in the Army, Warren received the following: Army Achievement Medal, Good conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Lapel Button, Hand Grenade (Expert) and M-16 Rifle (Sharpshooter). Warren traveled to Korea, Kenya, Canada, California, and Texas during his time in the service. He wanted to become a Sergeant before his time was up in the Army and wanted to open his own Carpentry business. He studied Carpentry and Masonry during his term. He was a proud Veteran and the love for his country lived on with him.

Stew enjoyed watching NASCAR, old fashion cars and spending time with “Opie Do Do”. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife Rosie, Warren is survived by his daughters, Tanya Stewart, Tara Bean and Kristin Wakefield and her Husband Mark, his mother, Joan (Gunther) Hartwell and his brother William Stewart and his wife Lori Stewart. Warren was the proud grandfather of Mason and Mia Contois and Bradley and Owen Wakefield.  He was predeceased by his daughter Angela Stewart, his sister Betty Stewart and his former wife Chong Stewart.
