It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Alice Evelyn (Ewell) Graves announce her passing. Alice passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 21st, 2021 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. She was a loving wife to the late John F. Graves. Alice was born in Ware, MA on September 11, 1932 to the late Gershom and Evelyn (Stockwell) Ewell. She later became a Supervisor for a Shirley German Company. She also worked as a Nursing Assistant for Woodridge Nursing Home. Alice was a lifelong member of Temple Baptist Church in West Bridgewater. She sang in their choir and taught Sunday School. She lived in Florida for many years and when she did, she was a member of the Riverland Baptist Church, also singing in their choir. She was also a member of their RU group.
In her spare time, Alice enjoyed to crotchet, knit, and make jewelry. She was a fierce Canasta player. She loved nothing more than being able to spend time with her family. She was the truest example of God’s love here on Earth.
Alice will be forever remembered by her children, Victoria Gonzalez of Brockton, Alice Rabidue of Stoughton, Simone Wild of Putnam, CT., Renee Graves of Brockton, Deborah MacDonald of Taunton, Jacqui Gilmore of Revere, James Graves of Brockton, Ralph Graves of Brockton, Melinda Porcaro of Brockton and James Rabidue of Randolph, sister; Emma Werra, of Plymouth, eighteen grandchildren, eight great grand-children and four great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Temple Baptist Church, 540 Manley St, West Bridgewater, MA 02379, on Saturday June 5, 2021 at 11:00AM.
