Corey A. Aranjo passed unexpectedly on Tuesday May 16, 2023, at his home at the age of 35.
Born in New Bedford to Steven Willette and the late Loreia (Aranjo) Rodrigues.
Corey worked as a line cook at TGI Friday’s in North Dartmouth, MA, he inherited his love for cooking from his father Steven Willette. Corey was a great dad and loved spending time with his four children, Wyatt, Tristan, Riley and Makenna. He would take his three sons camping and loved playing video games with them. They also watched scary movies together. Corey and his daughter Makenna would put puzzles together, liked to go out to eat and play tea party, they also played games on the Nintendo Switch together.
Survived by his father Steven Willette, his brother Shawn, his grandmother Mary Maciel and Aunt Crystal Giles all of New Bedford, MA. His uncle Mike and aunt Gloria Willette of Mashpee, MA his aunt Michelle and uncle Glenn Weaver of Pocasset, MA, his children’s mothers Nicole Collet and Kayley Rodo. Corey also leaves behind his stepfather Mike Rodrigues, to whom Corey was close with.
Corey is predeceased by his mother Loreia (Aranjo) Rodrigues, his brother Jacob Martin, his grandparents Joseph Willette and Lois “Jackie” (Willette-Heselton) Borges and his stepfather Thomas Martin, who meant a lot to Corey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 31, 2023 at Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home 467 Bay St. Taunton, MA from 11:00am – 1:00pm. All family and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
