The family of Dorothy A. (Charbonneau) Ouellette of Taunton sadly announce her peaceful passing on September 16, 2021. She was the loving wife to Roland A. Ouellette for 70 of her 88 years. She was a lifelong resident of Taunton, born there on June 3, 1933, to the late Arthur and Caroline (Greer) Charbonneau. She was a parishioner of St Jude the Apostle and the former Immaculate Conception Churches. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Dorothy’s life was centered on her family, in which she took great pride. Nothing was more important to her. She loved knitting and crocheting, able to follow the most complicated patterns with ease, and always willing to assist those less skilled with their work. Her sweaters were works of art. In years past she enjoyed Square Dancing with family and friends as a member of the Friendly Hoedowners Square Dancers. She looked forward to spring each year when she could watch the flowers in her yard bloom. No one got more pleasure out of a rose, lily, or simple daisy than she did.
In addition to her loving husband, Dorothy is survived by her children, Gary and Rene Ouellette, and Pamela Barboza; her grandchildren, Erin, Brendan and Justin Leal, Nicole Barboza, Brandi Barnes, and Andrea and Christina Lepore, along with eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was predeceased by her two daughters, Cheryl Lepore and Kelly Ouellette; also by her two sisters, Anne Haskins and Elaine Corbeil, and her daughter-in-law, Janice Ouellette, and son-in-law Tony Barboza—all of whom are equally loved and missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and will be announced by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, MA 02780. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.r-mfh.com.
