Fred “Freddy” S. Stockwell, of Plymouth, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his home in Plymouth. Born in Brockton to the late Robert Stockwell Jr. and Joanne (Lachimia) Suffoletto. Freddy enlisted in the United States Army at a young age. He proudly served his country and was part of the 82nd Air Bourne Division. He later became a Plasterer and continued the trade for most of his life.
Freddy enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. You could find him skinning deer for a venison dinner or having a couple of cold ones watching the game. He was an avid sports fan, always rooting for the Red Sox. No matter what he was doing, Freddy always made time for anyone. He had a personality that would light up the room and he was always the life of the party. If someone was feeling down, Freddy was the one to make you laugh with one of his jokes or comments. He was a caring and loving father, grandfather, son, brother, cousin, and uncle.
In addition to his mother Joanne, Freddy will forever be remembered by his son Freddy Stockwell of Virginia, brother; Robert Stockwell III and wife Linda of Middleboro, sisters; Patti Vasapollo of Plymouth, Gloria Menelly of Virginia, and Robin Suffoletto of Plymouth. He also leaves behind his grandson Jacoby Stockwell of Kingston. Freddy was predeceased by his stepfather Robert Suffoletto. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Thursday, May 27th from 10:00AM – 12:00PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Burial with Military Honors will follow at MA National Cemetery, Connery Ave, Bourne, MA 02542. For directions or to leave the family an online condolence, please visit www. r-mfh.com.
