Gail M. (Levesque) Hancock, age 75, of Taunton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the devoted wife of Howard P. Hancock, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born in Taunton on October 14, 1950, Gail was the daughter of the late Shirley (Newman) and Robert P. Levesque. She was raised and educated in Taunton, graduating from Taunton High School. Following her graduation, Gail earned her Nursing Degree and served as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Morton Hospital for many years. Prior to her retirement, she proudly held the position of Secretary at St. Mary’s Primary School for nearly 30 years, dedicating herself to the school community.
Gail found great joy in tending to her flower garden, and spending time outdoors, appreciating the beauty of nature. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and cherished outings with her sister Susan, taking long drives and discovering new places to share a meal. Above all, Gail treasured moments spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren whom she adored.
In addition to her husband, Howard, Gail is survived by her two daughters: Kristen M. Smalley and her husband Matthew of Tennessee, and Kimberly M. Rogers and her husband Richard of East Freetown. She was the loving sister of Susan M. Morse and was predeceased by her sister, Janice M. (Dumoulin) Sousa. Gail was the cherished grandmother of Brianna Smalley, Jackson Rogers, and Chase Rogers. She was also the loving aunt of Alison M. St. Laurent, Rachael M. Dumoulin, Stacy M. (St. Laurent) Brightman and Nancy M. (Dumoulin) Taylor.
